TeamSpeak NVDA Add-on
Doug Lee
Last revised March, 2024
This is the home of the TeamSpeak NVDA add-on for TeamSpeak versions 3.3.0.0 and newer.
This add-on was last tested with TeamSpeak 3.6.2.0.
This add-on does not cover TeamSpeak 5.
This add-on does the following:
- Improves the naming of several controls, many of which are otherwise unnamed buttons.
- Specifically improves what NVDA says for the master volume control, by removing HTML material from what is
announced.
This control is not on screen by default in TeamSpeak, however.
- Makes NVDA announce tree levels during navigation in the channel tree.
Caveat: This can begin to report odd levels in large channel trees, such as those with over 25 rows.
- Prevents NVDA from repeating "column 1" for every row in a channel tree.
- Supports 32-bit and-64-bit client versions.
Technically, it also supports the error_report program that runs when
TeamSpeak encounters an error; however, there is currently no
functionality applied there.
This add-on is maintained by Doug Lee.

following these steps:
- Open the Store by typing NVDA-N, then T for the Tools menu, then A for
the Store.
- Tab about four times to the "Install from external source" button, and press Space.
This opens a dialog from which to enter a file path or URL from which to load the add-on.
- Type or paste the direct download URL for the addon:

- Press Enter after typing or pasting the above URL, then follow the prompts to install the
add-on.
- Tab to and press Space on the "Close" button for the Store dialog to close the Store.
You will be prompted to restart NVDA. Choose "Yes" so that the new or updated add-on will begin to operate.
